At Jukkasjärvi Vildmarksturer, the safety of both guests and staff is a priority during every snowmobile tour. Our founder and CEO Mats Rullander is a former security manager in the defense forces with 35 years of experience. Mats' experience in safety work has been adapted to the tourism industry, creating a foundation of professionalism and accuracy in every tour.
Before each snowmobile tour, participants undergo a safety briefing where procedures and rules are carefully explained. Guests are informed of the importance of following the guides' instructions and safety procedures to ensure a safe and smooth experience. Helmets are, of course, mandatory and all participants sign a document ensuring that they understand and accept the safety regulations. For those who wish, the tour can be customized with their own scooter, while the standard option is two participants per scooter.
We continuously ensure that guides are well trained and ready to handle any situation that may arise. Guides undergo annual training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, cold and winter conditions, and practical exercises in ice skills. During the tours, guides carry safety equipment such as first aid kits and communication devices such as satellite phones on longer tours. The scooters are always kept in top condition, serviced according to the manufacturer's recommendations and are never older than three years.
For example, in the unlikely event of a scooter breaking down during a tour, the guide will notify the company's office and the problem will be solved immediately on site. This approach to flexibility and problem solving allows participants to feel confident that their safety is always in focus.
At Jukkasjärvi Vildmarksturer we offer a unique and safe experience of northern Sweden's magnificent nature. By combining experience, training and careful routines, we create unforgettable adventures that always prioritize the safety of the participants.
